What Metal Caddie is

Metal Caddie is business software for metal roofing and fabrication companies. A company signs up, invites its staff, and uses the app to run estimates, orders, production, inventory, deliveries, invoicing, and payments. It is offered as a website at metalcaddie.com and as an Android app that opens the same website. This policy covers both.

Metal Caddie is operated by Metal Maniacs. You can reach us at office@themetalmaniacs.com.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, username, password (stored hashed), and the company you belong to.

Business records you enter. Customers, contacts, job sites, estimates, orders, invoices, payments, inventory, purchase orders, schedules, time-clock entries, and notes. This data belongs to the company using the app.

Photos, video, and audio. If you choose to, you can take or upload photos and videos (for example of received material, finished parts, or a time-clock check-in) and use voice features. The app only uses your camera or microphone when you start one of those actions.

Location. Some features use your device's location, for example delivery driving screens, crew location sharing, sales route visits, and the local weather widget. The app asks for permission first, and only reads your location while you are using one of those features.

Technical information. Standard server logs such as IP address, browser or device type, and the pages you open, used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

• To run the features your company uses in the app.
• To send emails and documents that you or your company ask the app to send, such as estimates, invoices, statements, and payment links.
• To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To support you when you contact us.

We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help run Metal Caddie, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Hosting and database providers that store the app and its data.
• Email delivery providers, to send the messages described above.
• Payment processors, when a customer pays an invoice through a payment link. Card details are entered directly with the processor and are not stored by Metal Caddie.
• Mapping and weather services, when you use a feature that shows a map, a route, or local weather.
• AI services used to read documents such as price sheets, roof reports, and photos you upload. Only the file you submit is sent.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

Your company controls its data

The company that owns a Metal Caddie account is the owner of the business records in it. Company administrators decide who gets an account, what each person can see, and when access is removed. If you are an employee or customer of a company using Metal Caddie and have questions about your data, contact that company first. We will help them respond.

Keeping data safe

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that encrypt data at rest. Access is limited by login and by the roles your company sets. Sensitive fields such as credit application details are encrypted in storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away if you think an account has been misused.

How long we keep it

We keep account and business records for as long as the company's account is active, and as needed afterwards for bookkeeping, tax, and legal requirements. A company can ask us to delete its account and data by emailing us; we will confirm the request before deleting.

Your choices

• You can update your name, email, phone, and password in the app's settings.
• You can turn camera, microphone, and location permissions off at any time in your device settings. Features that need them will stop working until they are turned back on.
• You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information by emailing us.

Children

Metal Caddie is a workplace tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify companies using the app.
